Online Video Is Top Priority in 2009

Marketers in the US will take a closer look at online video in 2009, according to a survey conducted in December 2008 by PermissionTV. Over 400 senior-level decision makers were surveyed about their 2009 online marketing plans and more than two-thirds said that online video is the top priority for their digital marketing budgets.

Key Findings:

71% believe online video will enhance customer engagement and build brand awareness
52% expect to implement an online video project in second quarter of 2009
63% are most likely to invest in branded content/video destination next year

Marketing Objectives:

64% reported that strengthening relationships with customers and prospects is the primary goal
47% driving lead generation was the second largest objective
44% enhancing loyalty/retention programs
41% converting prospects into customers
